Why JourneyGuide Exists
Every year, universities, governments, and foundations pay for thousands of people to study, research, and live abroad — tuition, housing, stipends, even flights. Most of the people those programmes exist for never find out they exist.
JourneyGuide was built to fix that. We maintain a directory of more than a thousand funded opportunities — scholarships, fellowships, research grants, summer schools, and residencies — each one decoded into a structured record: who can apply, what is actually funded, what the requirements are, and exactly when the application window closes.
The information itself is public. The problem is that it is scattered across hundreds of programme pages, buried in PDFs, and written in institutional language that hides the answer to the only questions that matter: can I apply, and what would it cost me? We extract those answers and preserve them exactly — when a programme does not state something, our record says “unknown” rather than guessing.
Structured, Not Scraped
Every record carries over thirty structured fields — five confirmed coverage flags, funding classification, eligibility, deadlines, and stated amounts.
Official Sources
Every record links to the programme's own application page. You apply at the source — we never stand between you and the funder.
Honest Positioning
We never say you "qualify" and never promise selection. Unconfirmed benefits are shown as unknown — never presented as fact.

What It Is Not
It is not an application service and not admissions consulting. We do not submit applications, we do not assess your individual eligibility, and we do not guarantee outcomes. Programme administrators make all final decisions. What we promise is simpler: you will know the opportunity exists, what it covers, and when it closes — with enough time to act.
